So beautiful Kelly! I continue to love your work so, so much. So inspiring!!02/20/2012 – 5:07 pm
Now that the days are numbered in our current home, my goal is to document our life within those walls as much as I can. I want our boys to remember where they spent a good chunk of their early years… what their rooms looked like, where they played, where we ate, where we cuddled and where we danced. I’ve been talking about this kind of thing in my Beyond Cheese classes – how important it is to capture your everyday life – now it’s my turn to practise what I preach.
Up first is Theo’s room where Yoda stands guard.

Love those walls! And…Theo has my fav childhood book on his book shelf – a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day!!02/12/2012 – 1:52 pm
Hey Kelly,
Heard the news about your move! Big exciting things in store for you! Great shots of the boys’ rooms. One thing I did before we moved to Ayr was to do a video tour of the house. My boys still enjoy watching it. Just food for thought. Hope all goes well with the move!02/12/2012 – 1:34 pm

Not sure yet Chris – our house is still for sale. The new one (in Calgary) is supposed to be finished for June so I’m thinking we’ll be in Woodstock until then.02/12/2012 – 12:54 pm

I just love this. You have such a way with documenting the real beauty of newborns. I live in London and am expecting in May. I’m sending you an email to book a session but just had to pop on here and say I love your work.02/11/2012 – 9:06 pm
This is going to be a big year. A tough year. An exciting year. A year I both dread and fear but at the same time welcome with open arms.
Why the big deal? Well, we’re moving. And not just an hour or two away like last time, this time we’re moving to Calgary. Yup… a whole new province. So if anyone knows people in Calgary who may want a photoshoot, please spread the word (I’ll be there and ready to shoot by July). Or if you know anything cool about the city… a good hairdresser, babysitter, you name it I’d LOVE to hear it. We’re leaving behind family, friends, contacts, clients, colleagues – all the good stuff – and heading to somewhere where we have to start from scratch. A place we know very few people. But we’re always told not to get too comfortable, that you have to put yourself out there to grow. I’m hoping that’s true. If it wasn’t for our move to Woodstock I may have never ventured into this photography thing but here I am and I love it. Now I’m looking forward to what Calgary has in store for us.
For all my current clients I will be back. I’m coming back for two weddings in 2012 and hope to book a few shoots during those visits. I’ll post the dates and available times as soon as the flights are booked so I can book some shoots as well. If anyone is really interested in a 2012 shoot let me know and I can put you on a contact list to get first choice at a spot during one of my visits. And that said, depending on how quickly our house sells, I may be here until late spring and will try to fit as many shoots in before we move as possible.
In the mean time I’m excited about my ‘Beyond Cheese‘ workshops (and if you haven’t already, check out the contest that could win you a spot) and I’m also planning to do a couple more mentor sessions over the winter months (contact me if interested).
So that’s our big news – I hope everyone else has a new adventure planned for 2012. HAPPY NEW YEAR. I wish you the best of everything!
Now here’s a little look at what made 2011 so special for me…

[...] So 2012… what do you have in store for us? | calgary family photographer [...]02/12/2012 – 10:09 am
The tree is gone, the presents unwrapped, the LEGO built and games played. It’s over for another year and I actually managed to get the photos done (within just weeks – that’s a huge accomplishment for me seeing as I still have family photos from the spring on my computer I haven’t touched yet!)
