Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, step mom and mother in law (yup, I’m lucky to have three!) and all the other moms out there. Enjoy your day!

May already…? Summer seems to be creeping up on us. In keeping with my promise at the beginning of the year, here’s a quick look at our April.

Love these pics. Was Quincy trying to sell his Easter eggs or just organizing them for the hundredth time? I miss these munchkins.

Introducing Mr Sam Little. His mom and dad were the first wedding couple I photographed, he’s loved loads by them (not hard to tell right…), has a feline brother that’s just a tad jealous (who hopped in front of my camera a few times to try and steal the show) and he made me smile the entire shoot.

And if you’re in Woodstock, Ontario Sam’s mom (otherwise know as Rachael Little) recently started her own photography business. You can check her out here.

Blog posts usually go pretty quick for me. I say a few words, post some photos and hit publish. Today was different though. This one has taken a bit longer. It had me going back through years of blog posts and reminiscing.
I first met Julia in a mom’s group when we lived in Toronto. My Quincy was a baby (he’s now almost 8) and Julia’s little Noa was the same. We met with our little group of moms and babies at parks, one anothers’ houses and coffeeshops. A few years later, after I had just started up my little photography business, Julia asked me to come back to Toronto to photograph their family (which, like ours, had grown to 4). And so started a kind of yearly tradition. A chance for me to head back to Toronto and in a way, watch these kids grow. This past shoot was their fifth. I feel so honoured to have captured five years of their life. But now that I’ve moved to Calgary, and they announced they’re moving back to Germany, this may have been our last (I will still keep my fingers crossed though that the stars align one year soon and bring us together again). Heck, I had Noa slated to marry Quincy years ago.
Anyways, cheers to many more amazing years and to your new life in Germany. xo Kelly

When I booked shoots in the last week of March I didn’t expect them to be snow shoots. Last year at this time we were running around in shorts. This year though has been a different story! So what do you do? Roll with it…
We started inside

set up some spectators

and then headed outside to their awesome little backyard rink where Sebastien was right at home.
